About Us

Welcome to Almost Heaven Miniature Dachshunds!

"With Jesus and a Dachshund, you can lick anything!"

Here at AHMD we pride ourselves in producing quality long hair miniature dachshunds, in various colors, including English Creams.

We strive to produce happy, healthy dachshunds with wonderful temperaments while staying as close to the AKC standards as possible. We have various colors and patterns, health and quality come first.

All of our dachshunds are AKC registered. If you see a puppy that you like, please email or call and tell me a little about yourself. Placing our babies in forever homes is top priority. In most cases our pups are sold with LIMITED AKC registration. This means that the dog is not eligible for breeding or showing in conformation classes and has to be spayed/neutered. However they can be shown in agility, obedience and Earth Dog.

We do ship, weather permitting. We also accept PAYPAL FOR DEPOSITS ONLY, DEPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE. But you must pay the 3.5% they charge us for you to have the privilege of using your credit/debit card.

All puppies come with a 1 year health guarantee against life threatening genetic diseases. We cannot guarantee size. Miniatures are bred down from standards; some do end up as tweenies. We can only guestimate by the parent’s weights.
We prefer to sell our puppies with LIMITED AKC REGISTRATION which means you cannot breed your dog and register their puppies with the AKC or show in AKC conformation events. You do receive AKC papers from us for your puppy but when you send them off the AKC we will mark the papers accordingly showing a LIMITED status on your dog.  We do occasionally sell puppies with FULL AKC but this must be discussed with us first and we have the right to refuse breeding rights to anyone who asks as breeding is a huge responsibility and is not to be taken lightly.

Our puppies are all raised in our home and are well socialized from the day they are born. I have 2 daughters; ages 12 and 10, and 1 son age 13 and they do a great job at socializing your new baby. Raising a litter of puppies is A LOT of hard work as we do not just place them in a cardboard box and then allow them to go to new homes. They learn to potty on pee pads and to keep their bed clean. They are fed a nice quality dry puppy food for optimum health and nice shiny coats and we ask that you please try to feed them a comparable food as well for a long, happy, and healthy life.
